Trips to Wales

 

Only two groups of people have been known to go to Wales to visit sites of interest to Price's--a 1991 trip by Doris Collinge and Myrtle Peterson, and a 2001 trip by Steven Price and his wife, Ann Roberson.

Trip by Doris Collinge and Myrtle Peterson

 

In 1991Doris Collinge and Myrtle Peterson visited the farms occupied by John and Sarah Price, as well as the church they were married in. Following is Myrtle's travel log and photos taken by her.

	Old Church at Beguildy Parish, where John Pryce and Sarah Humphries were married in 1824.
	Coming in the entrance of the church, note box made of single log.
	This shows a little of the heavy beam in the ceiling in the center of the church
	These old pews are probably origninal since they said some of the furnishings had always been here. The chancelory is the dark wood on the right, they would have taken their vows here and then gone on to the alter for the blessing.
	This is where the Waen farm house stood, looking West or South, I think.

	Brindu, the house Our Great-Great Grandparents lived And I think where Grandpa Price was born.
	The room that had been the kitchen with the six foot thick wall, that had the fireplace with the bread oven. Other side is the living room.
	Old Baptist church, built 1805 on site of Quaker house that burned down. Very old grave stones, but could read some of them.
	Looking south, I think, toward teh castle ruins on the skyline. The old Baptist church is in the valley, you can't see it from here.
